Data-Driven Roasting

  • Talks Room @ de Doelen 40 Kruisplein Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland, 3012 CC Netherlands (map)

Can data and artificial intelligence make coffee taste better? Can technology unlock flavours we didn’t know were possible? And when should a roaster trust the data, and when – their senses?

Expect a conversation on technological experimentation in the intersection of engineering and coffee roasting with Sabri Barac (Still Coffee Roasters) and Mark Al-Shemmeri (dialect.coffee) for an open and thought-provoking conversation about the craft and science of coffee roasting. From intuition and experimentation to data, technology, and sensory experience, we’ll explore what happens when curiosity meets precision.

The talk is moderated by Dagmar Geerlings

Language: English

Please note: talks are walk-in, first come first served, and a valid Rotterdam Coffee Fest festival ticket is required. Find the Talks Room on the second floor, above the Festival Hall.
